Suborno Nagarik Card is an identity card for Person with Disabilities, issued by the Department of Social Services, Government of Bangladesh. It is an officially recognized identity card for a person with disabilities to get special privileges to adopt a normal life. Such as Disability Allowance, opportunities to study in schools and colleges, quotas in employment, etc.
According to the Disability Act of Bangladesh, 12 types of people like Visually Impaired, Speech Impaired, Physically Impaired, Intellectually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, or people with multiple disabilities although every person with disabilities lives in country have been brought under the scope of using this card.
The following instructions are to be followed for an online application through this link to obtain a Disability Identity Card:
1. Applicant must be a citizen of Bangladesh.
2. Only persons with disabilities, their guardians, or any organization on behalf of persons with disabilities shall apply.
3. Applicants must have a birth certificate or national identity card.
4. Must have a valid mobile number and e-mail address.
5. The Online Application form needs to be filled out correctly. The application form will be divided into 4 sections.
6. In the application form, the applicant's signature should be replaced by scanning the signature.
7. After completing the online application form you need to print it and submit it to the concerned upazila/city social service office at the current address of the applicant.
8. Must appear for the medical examination as per the time given by the concerned upazila/city social service office.
9. The printed copy obtained after submitting the online application form should be brought along while appearing for the medical examination.
10. An identity card should be collected after receiving the SMS from the concerned upazila/city social service office.
After receiving the SMS from the Social Services Office, you can collect the disability card or download the disability card by entering the official website of the Social Services Directorate and logging in with your user ID and password.
